Samsung annouces the Galaxy Gear smartwatch
Samsung announced its first foray into wearable gadgets at an event in Berlin today. The Galaxy Gear smartwatch can make and receive calls, take snaps, run its own apps and even has a voice control function that allows users to perform tasks by speaking to the device (very Star Trek like).
The device will launch on September 25 in around 140 countries but expect this to bethe start of a wave of smart watch devices as both Apple and Micosoft are looking to get out of your pocket and onto your wrist.
